The collection is in one archival box and contains Knish Good Kid Club membership cards, Knish Big League Cards, a photocopy of a newspaper article and a press release about the puppet exhibit at the Childrens Museum, 1990, photographs of Stohl with and without his puppets, a headshot of Knish, a cassette of promos and commercials, undated, and videotapes. There is a video of a Knish, Rodney and Connie puppet show, 1993, and there are eleven videos of excerpts of his television appearances, and his television commercials, 1970-1990.

Hank Stohl was a puppeteer, actor and writer who became famous in Pittsburgh for his puppets, Knish, Rodney Hackenflash and Connie the Dog. Stohl created Knish in 1952 for an audition for Mitzis Kiddie Kastle on WDTV, the predecessorof KDKA. He later created the puppets, Rodney and Connie who appeared with Knish on KDKA Kay Dee Kartoon and Big Adventure and on WTAE Popeye n Knish. After retiring his puppets in 1968, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Stohl died on December 15 20...
